I was looking for a lady who knows how to do Brazilian wax well. Then I came across Magdalen pure skin care. After my first appointment, I will not look anywhere else ever again for waxing. She was beyond my expectations. Her customer service is amazing. The place smells like you have walked into a flower garden, so refreshing. She’s the most fun person to talk to while she does the waxing taking my anxiety away about the pain. I felt like I was talking to a friend that I had known for a long time. We laughed so hard and talked about life. Not only her personality is great but her waxing feels super smooth, clean and pain free which is really hard to find. What can I say? Well I’ll start by saying I’ve been going to Ms. Magdalen for over a year now. I found her and haven’t looked back since. She is professional, down to earth and prompt. Her shop is serene and always smells so nice. Always ready to take me when I get there, I’ve never had to wait. My appointment will be at 5 and I’ll be waxed and out by 5:15. Did I mention that she i fast, neat and it’s painless. I wish I would’ve known about her before going to nail salons and receiving subpar service and and waxed that hurt like hell. I used to literally be not able to walk comfortably after a Brazilian but not with Magdalen. I actually look forward to my appointments with her for a good conversation and a hearty laugh. I went to see Magdalen today for a Brazilian wax and it was amazing. I was on a hiatus from getting a wax due to a terrible experience once I moved to Texas and I vowed to never do it again. This hiatus was for 12 years but I when I came back to Maryland I decided to rediscover waxing and came back to Magdalen. Let me me tell you something guys, this experience was MAGICAL. This appointment was pain-free, quick, sanitary, and professional. I was laughing so hard that I forgot that I was getting a Brazilian wax. I now feel sexier than ever, fresh, and ready to return in 6 weeks. So, let me start with I was terrified to get a Brazilian wax… I have been wanting to do this for years now..I searched and read online to find the easiest method possible .. I stumbled upon Magdalena’s while on Yelp and started reading her reviews .. I was like umm ok maybe I’ll give her a try .. I went to make my appt several times and backed out.. finally I decided to call her .. we talked and laughed as if we had met before .. by the time we hung up I was relaxed and excited.. once I arrived I was taken to the back and she said “ take your clothes off “ .. we started laughing and she said I told you I’m going to give you orders.. the entire experience from start to finish was not bad at all .. nothing like what I expected .. my next appt has been made and I will definitely be back. ~ Latoya P

If you are as anxious as I was to take the plunge and get a Brazilian, then like me you are reading as many reviews as you can to make sure you are in the best hands possible. WELL, YOU CAN STOP RESEARCHING. Magdalen completely lives up to all of her amazing five star reviews. I am about to go in for my third service and I can confidently say Magdalen possesses the Brazilian trifecta: confident, fast, and ... hilarious!! I was beyond nervous getting my first Brazilian, but Magdalen’s expertise coupled with her talent to diffuse what could be a very awkward situation resulted in me literally laughing throughout the entire service. This was an amazing first wax experience. I was nervous going into my appointment but Magdalen made me super comfortable right away. The facility was super clean and relaxing. The wax wasn't painful at all and the service was quick. I am still just amazed at how smooth I am. Would definitely recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed. Added 2/9/2022: I have been going to Magdalen for a year now not only for waxes but skincare. I had terrible breakouts due to stress which left my skin with a lot of dark marks. Magdalen suggested doing chemical peels. I had complete confidence in Magdalen and her knowledge so it was a no brainer to start treatments. This is the best salon to get a Brazilian wax done (the owner provides other services but this is the only thing I had done)! Since having the worst vagina wax ripping experience at European Wax Center in Columbia MD, I was on the hunt for another salon. I read the many positive reviews for Magdalen Pure Skin Care and decided to take the 30 min drive from Columbia. Boy was I not disappointed!! The establishment is clean, smells welcoming and warm. Magdelen was very friendly and has a warm personality to match the atmosphere. The wax service was nothing short of amazing. It was very comfortable and not painful. She was fast and I barely knew she was down there! I will definitely be back and did not hesitate to schedule my next appointment. Go on and book your appointment you will not be disappointed!! Ms. Magdalen is very sweet and she was very professional. I arrived on time and she took me in right away. The waxing process was easy and quick. The waxing didn’t even hurt. I went for a Brazilian wax and it was only 15 minutes and I walked out. I had a bad experience at European wax center and they did hard wax and they left me bleeding and I was the worse. They used powder on my skin and the wax took almost a hour and I was told my hair was too think to wax. Then they kept trying to force me to buy products for ingrown hairs. It was a awful experience and I left in pain. When I came to Ms. Magdalen she said it was going to be “magic” and it is worth it. I’m walking out feeling great and no pain. I had my first Brazilian wax and microdermabrasion at Magdalen’s. The microdermabrasion left my skin feeling remarkably smooth and rejuvenated. After just two weeks of using her skin care products my face has fewer fine lines and the puffiness under my eyes is almost gone. Next, I had my first Brazilian wax. Let me just tell you that I was scared to death! Magdalen was quick, thorough and had me laughing the entire time. Overall, I walked away feeling no pain and very happy with the final results. Magdalen also has a down to earth personality and does not sugar coat anything. She will tell you exactly what she thinks and you can take it or leave it! From my initial phone call with Ms.Magdalen to the end of my service she had me laughing. She has a kindhearted, fun spirit and great personality all around. Very direct with her expectations (be punctual) and will answer your questions. She is the only one in her shop and uses paper strip vs hard wax. I questioned the paper strips but my results were amazing and so smooth. I received a full Brazilian and underarm wax, its been a week since my service and no hair growth or skin issues from her products. Also, the pain was minimal and tolerable, I was on my cycle so you will be more sensitive. The positions are different from my normal but her reasoning was true. I been getting waxed for about 8-9yrs and she was a 10/10! Highly recommend Ms.Magdalen to anyone who is in the Rockville, MD area! ~ Jazmine P

I got a Brazilian wax and I really can’t believe how good she is. She finished in probably 15 minutes and she did a great job. It just looked good and didn’t hurt much. She’s funny, genuine, and really knowledgeable. She talks to you while she waxes you and you don’t even realize it’s all happening and then you’re done. Her prices are really fair too. I just can’t believe I was going to other salons when she’s existed this entire time. I’m so shocked. I’ve never written a review before and here I am writing one because she’s that good. I can't praise Magdalen and Irene enough! I originally am a regular client of Irene's (whom Magdalen taught). Due to Irene's pregnancy (Congratulations!), I was referred to Magdalen. She and her work are of the highest quality professionally, aesthetically, and ethically. She is a pleasure to talk to, she is funny, and always makes sure that you are comfortable. If you are spending over an hour for a Brazilian wax only to have them tweeze you at the end, you're wrong and they're wrong. Magdalen never tweezes and doesn't need to go over the same area multiple times. Her products are gentler than others and get the job done efficiently. I cannot stress this enough, MAGDELAN IS AMAZING!!! I’m 17, and this was my first brazilian wax ever. I’d say I have a pretty low pain tolerance, but it honestly did NOT hurt. Of course it was a little different, but she makes you feel as comfortable as possible. Throughout the wax, she was talking and making me laugh, I forgot I was even getting waxed. Service was great, I arrived early so she took me in early, right after her last client was finished. Not to mention, the place smells great, super clean, and well organized. I’m very pleased with the results, and just SO shocked at how quick it was!!! Today, I met Magdalen for the first time and boy was I in for a treat! Magdalen is an absolute delight. The only thing equal to her wonderful personality is the quality of the service she provides. I haven't been waxed since before the pandemic, when I was still seeing my gal in Phoenix. My daughter has struggled for years with her skin.. She is only 19. I have taken her to various dermatologists, skincare professionals, etc. All we walked away with was hundreds of dollars worth of products and my daughter being hopeful once again that this was the fix for her skin . After seeing her so disappointed once again with her skin with all her scars, bumps, dark spots, etc. and a lot of research we found Magdalen's. I have been researching and contemplating the pros & cons of getting a Brazialian wax...as well as frightening myself out of the idea because of the mere thought of hair being "ripped" from my pores in such a sensitive area. However, I finally took the leap on February 28, 2021 after viewing Magdalen's reviews on Instagram, Facebook, and Yelp for over two weeks. I arrived unshaven as instructed and was greeted by warm smile. We got straight to business as Magdalen walked me through every step taken. The great reviews are real! After researching several sites for professional waxing services including European Wax Center and other spa locations, I ran across Magdalen’s site. There were so many positive reviews and pics of actual customers, so I was comfortable making an appointment. Magdalen was so warm, kind and funny from the very first time I spoke with her on the phone. When I arrived for my appointment, she was exactly as she was on the phone! She did an amazing job and my visit was not a painful one at all!! The product that she uses left my skin so smooth. Guys the best wax I’ve ever had. I’m a CHILD when it comes to all things pain related and while waxing will never be a “fun” thing to do this was the least painful wax I’ve ever had, and I’ve been getting waxed consistently for over 5 years! The owner is awesome and will have you cracking up the entire time- I’m pretty sure we’re BFFs at this point lol But seriously, leave the large corporate waxing centers behind as you will be WELL taken care of here. Especially coming from not being waxed for over 5 months due to covid I was expecting a very painful appointment but to my surprise it wasn’t nearly the amount of pain I feel going to European wax and that’s when I go consistently! Next, please note that I'm a waxing novice. I had a lot of preconceived notions about what to expect. Magdalen shattered them all. I previously had some sessions with the European Wax Center closest to me, but ended up with a severe infected hair follicle due to their specific type of process. I was on the search for a better technician and found Magdalen! I was nervous for my first visit, but she immediately put me at ease. Loved my experience here! From scheduling to getting waxed itself, everything was very professional and pleasant. Brazilian waxing can be an uncomfortable procedure but Magdalen really puts you at ease and is extremely knowledgeable about what she does. The Brazilian itself was super fast and painless compared to my personal previous experiences.
